Variable Air Volume Systems

Do you have a Variable Air Volume (VAV) system for your laboratory chemical fume hoods?  If so, you’re ahead of the game.  Let’s face it though, the only way energy and costs will be reduced is if your sash doors are closed when not in use.

Green Energy Hoods is proud to announce a “one of a kind” mechanical system that accomplishes just that.  Walk away from the fume hood and our GREEN SASH SYSTEM will close your sash doors automatically.  This groundbreaking technology adapts to ALL chemical fume hood manufacturers.  Be a pioneer in your industry by investing in this Green technology.  After all, not many projects can offer a payback in under a year.

VAV systems use a combination of dampers and controls to reduce energy.  VAV systems offer a constant face velocity at every sash position (typically 100 feet per minute) while reducing the required CFM (cubic feet per minute) when closing the sash door.  In some cases, the reduction in energy can be as great as 80%.  Reducing exhaust levels alone will not maximize your savings.  Our VAV ECON system links your total exhaust to your total air supply.  In other words, both systems are in concert with one another.   Watch our GEH and TEL Demonstration vidoe below:

Constant Air Volume Systems

Do you have a Constant Air Volume (CAV) system for your laboratory chemical fume hoods?  If so, you’re not alone. With this type of system, opening and closing the sash doors have no effect on energy usage. Our GREEN SASH SYSTEM (GSS) will not inherently save you money.  It’s the combination of our GSS and our ECON VAV control system that reduces energy costs.

GSS + ECON VAV = Going Green, Saving Green

Combined, our mechanical engineers and energy conservation experts have over 100 years of experience.  Allow us the opportunity to save you money while increasing safety.  Satisfaction guaranteed.
